Happy 4th everyone! To celebrate the holiday, I'd like to know what everyone's planning for today? BBQs? Fireworks? Post up your pictures and let us know about the fun you had!

---

Also, thanks for hanging around while we get into the groove of this community. We're still testing things out, and seeing what works and what doesn't, so there may be changes here and there. I'd love it if you could take our poll and let us know what you think, and if you'd like to see anything different :)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Today will be a lazy day! My husband is out fishing with friends. Later in the afternoon, I'm going to take our son to a parade and then the community festival, with fireworks! :)

I'm working a 23 hour shift! But I'm not American so that's okay; I had my Canada Day weekend. It IS my friend's son's 4th birthday though. I may be taking the lady I work for out to his birthday party in the park later.

We're not doing anything:)

Last year my husband and inlaws took me to my first fireworks show and I spent the entire 45 minutes about to run away screaming. I think I'm scared of the sudden loaud noises of the explosions. I'm planning to mkae rolls and we'll eat veggie burgers and salad for dinner:p

I've gotta get bathed and ready and we (my husband, too, yay!) are heading to my parents for food, and some little fireworks for my daughter.

I've gotta work at 9, so I'm going to miss the bigger fireworks that she's going to see :( She's been so excited hearing all the fireworks go off in the neighborhood.

"What's that? WHAT'S THAT?!" she keeps asking, hehe.

We didn't do anything as a family and I feel pretty guilty :-(.

It's just so hot here (it was 105 yesterday) that I worry about the little ones in the heat.

My older kids (21, 18 and 15) all had plans with friends.

Logan is just now hitting his 3 month growth spurt (he'll be 3 months on Saturday) and he's been eating non-stop for the last three days... I'm so tired, we just went to bed early. The fireworks in the neighborhood woke up our 19 month old at midnight and he was awake until 3:00 AM. LOL.

Here's hoping next year's fourth goes a bit smoother. :-)
